Increased Demand for OT

Measures to help Singaporeans meet healthcare needs (CNA, 2008)

“The government is to spend over S$900 million over the next five years to upgrade facilities at several public sector hospitals.

It will also spend another S$1 billion over the same period to recruit and train more healthcare professionals, including not only doctors, but also pharmacists, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals in the public sector.”

That is GOOD news! The increment in the recruitment implies a greater demand for these professions. It is only time for our profession to grow in numbers and be more known to the public.

I love OT!
