Cinical Reasoning Discussion CE 3C

Wednesday

I presented a case study on a left basal ganglia bleed with mass effect on left ventricle back in school. Feedback was pretty optimistic and I am satisfied with the grades. In fact, I am more satisfied with the progress my client had made.

Friday

However, I was shot up and down when I presented to the OT neuro workgroup in the acute hospital that I was posted to. I saw the difference between lecturers and clinicians through the types of questions they asked. While lecturers are more concerned about the theoretical part, clinicians really questioned deep into the practicality and functional parts. I managed to get feedback from several clinicians. Each of them gave their comments and gradings. I felt enlightened after that because they brought me to a perspective that was my blindspot. I failed to see the client globally when predicting the future for the client. That made up a major issue in ther comments. Otherwise, it was pretty much good.

Well, their comments were good. I was reinforced on this need. It will definately be stuck in my mind always.
