Week 4

by Suhaila Usuludin ~ February 6th, 2008. Filed under: Archived, Fieldwork.

Happy Lunar New Year to all my friends and readers! It is a short week (2.5 days of work) due to the lunar new year. I am still working on my weaknesses in spite of the challenges faced.

My supervising lecturer came down today to have mid-way evaluation with me. After discussing about my progress and areas of improvement, he suggested extending the clinical period by a week due to the lack of clinical practice (due to the HMDP on the whole of 2nd week, and the long public holidays now). I absolutely agree with him on this as I had only one week of ‘real’ practice in the first 3 weeks. Hence, an extra week for practice purposes will do me good. Final evaluation will be done as per normal. Hence, the extra week is solely for an additional hands-on practice purposes. My clinical partner will also be extending his clinicals by one week. Thus, it is not so bad afterall.

That’s all for now. Enjoy the holidays!
