First day of clinicals was interesting with a variety of medical conditions. Haemorrhages, head injuries, cardiac conditions etc. The aim of this clinical placement was to synthesise theories learnt so as to really get the big picture of Occupational Therapy. And of course, appreciate it.
I managed to help out in treatment interventions as well as doing parts of the assessment. Expectations were also being laid out so as to set my goals of this clinicals straight. That’s a good start, I guess. Another good news was that Carolyn Unsworth is coming to the hospital next week. I’ll be attending some lectures and workshops on the early part of the week. Great! Another addition to my professional development section of my portfolio.

Yup Jo! I’ll update whenever i can. as for this clinicals period, i’ll most likely be updating it on a weekly basis.

hey hey….carolyn unsworth came to ttsh rehab as well. i attended 3 of her lectures. she is good la.

yes! she’s gd lah… very engaging presenter. and the stuffs she presented are solid man… I learnt a lot from her. now trying to incorporate some concepts to my cases.

Hey ya… pls share when we meet on 22nd Feb in school.
We did talk about studying in La Trobe with her. And sme advice on her etc etc. Will share with ya soon. Enjoy the rest of the clinicals.
