3rd Occupational Therapy Day
by Suhaila Usuludin ~ January 10th, 2008. Filed under: Archived, Profession: Occupational Therapy.Tomorrow marks Singapore’s 3rd Occupational Therapy Day. A dinner has been organised by the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT) at YWCA. My class, along with Hannah and Wanying, will be going for the dinner. In fact, it is my first time going for an OT Day dinner which is held annually to mark the special day.
In line with the OT day, most occupational therapy department in the local hospitals are organising some events. From what I have gathered, IMH is having a seminar with the theme of ‘Burnout’. As burnout is an increasing phenomenon, especially in urban cities like Singapore, this workshop will equip us with knowledge about burnout and the creative therapeutic interventions that occupational therapists does to manage it. Interesting, isn’t it?
The registration is officially over but I guess if you pop by, they sure won’t chase you away right? Hopefully not.
Another update: I’m transferred to the neurosurgical unit instead of geriatrics unit for the upcoming clinicals.
