The 2nd International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assitive Technology will be held on 13-15 May 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand. On top of the papers, workshops and special sessions, there is a Student Design Challenge, which aims at meeting the following goals:
- Provide an opportunity for students from a variety of design backgrounds (HCI, industrial design, product design, visual design, etc.) to participate in i-CREATe and demonstrate their problem solving and design skills in an international challenge against their peers.
- Provide i-CREATe attendees with refreshing perspectives on how design teams from different disciplines and different parts of the world approach a common design problem.
- Provide i-CREATe attendees with a chance to meet future professionals in our area.

On a personal note, I would love to attend this convention. Firstly, I would be awaiting for my entry to Degree Conversion Course in Australia. Secondly, it’s Bangkok. I can easily hop on to a budget airline. So any of my friends interested to join me?
